38th Annual Appalachian Potters Market
Appalachian Potters Market is a tradition that began in 1986 with a handful of potters and volunteers right here in McDowell County. We invite the best of Appalachian clay workers to our little town of Marion, NC, for a pre holiday pottery-exclusive market (that is right, no other items besides pottery are sold at APM). The only two years we did not have a market were 2020 and 2021, making this year our 38th event rather than our 40th.
This event is organized by the Staff of McDowell Arts Council Association (Susan Pyatt-Baker, Executive Director, and Anna Branam, Assistant Director), and supported by our awesome Board and Volunteers. Your vendor registration fees and Attendee ticket costs directly support the arts in our community and allows us to keep hosting this event, so thank you! This year we will have live music, hot coffee and treats by local coffee shops and bakers, as well as lunch options!
APM is held in the Commons Area and Gymnasium of McDowell High School. If you have any questions, please let us know at [email protected] or by calling 828-652-8610 (our office phone).
