MUSIC - Jack Town Ramblers, Bluegrass/Gypsy Jazz

They are a North Carolina Based Bluegrass, Swing and Gypsy Jazz band made up of players with the focus of trying to provide an entertaining show with good music and a lot of laughs. They all come from similar musical backgrounds and they try to not take ourselves too seriously. They incorporate a lot of comedy and other antics into their show but they take the music and quality of their performances very seriously. The band consist of Mike Street on Upright Bass, Shannon Leasure on Guitar, Brett Setzer on Banjo and Gabriel Wiseman on Mandolin. Everyone contributes to the vocal duties providing both lead and harmonies depending on the song arrangement.

Artists that they enjoy listening to range from Tom Petty to Robert Earl Keen, Pearl Jam to Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin to Sugarland, and that diversity shows in the music that they play.

Ginny’s most gratifying experience has been the two 6 month seasons performing 7 days a week at the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad for people from all over the world.
