Escape the April showers and join us for a tranquil Sunday afternoon experience where you'll create your very own kokedama, a beautiful and elegant way to display indoor plants. What is kokedama? More than just a plant in a pot, kokedama (Japanese for "moss ball") is a living art form with a rich heritage. Inspired by the ancient Japanese Nearai bonsai method – where plants are cultivated to reveal their root systems – kokedama takes this concept further. Encasing a plant's roots in a meticulously crafted moss-covered sphere offers a fresh, organic, and truly unique alternative to traditional potting. This method not only showcases the plant's natural beauty but also invites a deeper connection to nature, embodying peaceful simplicity and natural elegance. Under the guidance of Ata, you'll learn the art of crafting these stunning botanical spheres. After creating your sculpture, you will work with Katie to glaze a handmade ceramic bowl for your plant's soaking and display. Let us set the relaxing Sunday mood with refreshing drinks, light nibbles, and chill tunes. Investment: $75 Advanced tickets required. https://nanugallery.as.me/april19kokedamaworkshop
