EXCITING NEWS for our Barnburner 50K fans!!!!! I am very pleased to tell you that the fire will keep burning.
Racing in the Woods will being helping us keep the Barnburner 50K alive starting in 2027.
For this year, Overmountain is hosting a FREE, SOCIAL version of the Barnburner 50K from Fonta Flora's Whippoorwill Farm on October 17th, 2026 pedaling at 9am.
CAMPING AND PARKING!
You can camp at the Linville Adventure Pasture for $25 (cash preferred) for the social Barnburner. The address is 5536 NC-126, Nebo, NC 28761
If you are joining us for the day you will park at Fonta's rear parking. You cannot park in the front lot.
I appreciate everyone understanding the difficulties with hosting the race this year and finishing construction at the bike shop location.
All are welcome to join the social event this year and ride with us.
We will hang out at the brewery after the ride for beer, food and socializing.
Official roll out is 9am. Start with us or ride at your leisure!
